VISIT US!
In case you didn't make it to the wedding
or want to come back for a visit again...
Slovenia is a great jumping point to other countries and capital cities, but be sure you don't skip touring around Slovenia. In a country smaller than Pennsylvania, it has everything from mountains to the sea, not to mention the biggest cave in Europe, castles, vineyards, lakes, rivers, unique culture, thousands of years of history... so discover the country on the sunny side of the Alps!
Below are some of our suggestions and ideas for planning your trip to Slovenia. If you still feel like a travel novice, email Rebecca rebeccasvetina@gmail.com or Miha svetinaa@gmail.com to set up a Skype date!

Travel Tips & Tricks
...for the travel novice
1. Roll your clothing to save space.
2. Scan all your important documents (passport, ID, credit cards, etc.). Put all the digital files on a USB and pack in a safe place. And email the documents to yourself.
3. Divide your cash– never put it all in one place. Bring some foreign currency with you for taxis and coffee when you first arrive. The best "exchange office" is the ATM (which accepts Visa, Mastercard, and all major credit cards).
4. Be sure to check to see if you need travel health insurance.
5. Inform your credit card company that you're traveling overseas.
6. Don't forget an adpator for phone and camera chargers! (Universal adaptors & converters are fine. If you have any Apple projects, Apple also sells special adaptors for their chargers.)
7. Pack all valuables in your carry-on!
...I've been asked this more than once, so here's what I always back in my carry-on:
"Carry on should have all valuables (computer, camera, phone, jewelry, breakables, travel documents...). I also have basics in case my luggage gets lost and to freshen up after the flight: toothbrush, toothpaste, underwear and/or swimsuit, mini perfume, contacts/glasses, girl necessities, disposable face wipes, no-water soap... I also wear layers since you never know if the flight will be hot or cold. I make sure I have something to sleep on whether it's a hoody or inflatable pillow, and I always have my "mini pharmacy" with Advil, decongestants, Tums... If there's any chance of you having a stuffy nose/congestion, take a decongestant 'cause I've gotten an awful ear infection from flying- esp. on the descend."
