WE GOT MARRIED!
Introducing... Miha & Rebecca Jo Svetina!

Traveling | Getting To & Around Slovenia
by plane
It is slightly more expensive to fly directly into the Ljubljana/Brnik airport. If you have more time to see another European city, we suggest flying into one of the following "neighboring" cities:
-Munich, Germany
-Vienna, Austria
-Budapest, Hungary
-Venice, Italy
-Zagreb, Croatia
Tips:
Booking a flight through a travel agent is generally more expensive. We have bought all our flights between the EU and US the past 5 years through Momondo.
We usually start looking for flights 6 months before our overseas travel date, but book our flights no sooner than 4 months and no later than 1 1/2 months beforehand.
If you still want to use a travel agent, Kollander is a US travel agent working frequently with groups traveling to Slovenia.
Don't forget there's a 6 hour time difference between EST and Slovenia.

Budget Airlines:
EasyJet and WizzAir fly direct
into Ljubljana/Brnik from London
and Brussels.
by train
Trains are great, because they take you to and from the center of cities, and they have ample room for you to get up and walk around during your journey. If you're lucky on international trains, there's a dining car and amazing scenery traveling by day.

Tips:
-Despite popular thought, unless you're doing a whirl-wind tour of a lot of different countries over a longer period of time, a EuroRail ticket is not worth the money. Buy individual or roundtrip train tickets between cities.
-If you're doing a roundtrip starting in Ljubljana, there are several early-bird specials 2-3 months in advance. Contact Rebecca for the inside-scoop.
